At least 45,153 previous and recent models of Honda motorcycles in the U.S. are being recalled due to a problem with the relay switches.

According to reports, the affected motorcycles may unexpectedly stop during operation due to a sudden loss in power. The problem was blamed on a manufacturing error where the sealants were wrongfully applied to the starter relay switch. Riders are at high risk of sustaining injuries if the engines of their motorcycles suddenly stop during operation. Honda initially issued the recall on July 8 and broadened it recently to include other motorcycle models. Owners of the recalled Honda motorcycles are advised to contact their dealer for the free repair of their motorcycles.
