Suspected intoxicated driver arrested in Wisconsin

State authorities in Waukesha County recently arrested a female driver after she was suspected of driving a vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, a July 7 article of CBS 58 stated.

The incident reportedly happened in the southbound lane of Interstate 94 where authorities stopped Melanie Lynn Alvarez, 36, after she was seen driving 97 mph on a 70 mph speed limit road. Alvarez was required to do a field sobriety test after a trooper observed signs of intoxication. Multiple charges were later filed against Alvarez after she was brought to the Racine County Jail.

Although fortunately in this incident no one was harmed, it is not uncommon for drunk drivers to wreak havoc on the road and cause seriously damaging car accidents.
