Singer badly hurt in SF fatal crash

Once well-known musician Norman Greenbaum, known best for singing “Spirit in the Sky,” is in critical condition after a deadly accident in northern San Francisco, a March 30 article on NBC News stated.

Reports said the vehicle that the 72-year-old singer-songwriter was a passenger in struck a motorcycle on March 28. The motorcycle driver identified as Ihab Usama Halaweh, 20, was pronounced dead at the scene. Greenbaum and the passenger on the motorcycle, Nhmia Mekonnen Kahsay, were taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital to address their injuries. The singer was initially listed as critical, but the hospital would not release any updates on his condition. Greenbaum’s driver Bonita Kay Perea, 62, was not hurt in the incident. She told authorities that she failed to notice the motorcycle as she was about to make a turn.

The Stevens Point lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends who are currently suffering from their loss.
