A suspected drunk driver is facing several charges after the truck he was driving struck another vehicle in Mount Pleasant where an establishment was also damaged, a March 15 report of stated.

Third offense intoxicated driving, hit-and-run, bail jumping, and first-degree reckless endangerment charges were filed against Racine resident Robert Ritthaler on March 14 after he caused a two-vehicle accident on Highway 32. Ritthaler reportedly struck a Corolla, causing it to collide with a garage, and then quickly left the scene. Thanks to a witness’s information, authorities arrested Ritthaler later that night. Though everyone involved in the crash was uninjured, the vehicles and a garage sustained severe damage.
