Family claim Takata airbag killed loved one

Japanese firm Takata Corp. is being sued by a Texas family that claims an airbag inflator exploded and killed their relative in an accident, reported on Friday, January 30.

Texas resident Carlos Solis was reportedly killed in a minor accident in Houston on January 18. The Solis family claims in its lawsuit that metal shrapnel from the bursting Takata airbag installed in the Honda vehicle caused Carlos’ death. Initial reports revealed that Carlos sustained fatal “blunt force injuries” to his neck. Takata and Honda stated that the inflator equipped in Carlos’ Accord vehicle had ruptured.

In addition to Takata and Honda, two car dealers are being sued by the family. The family is seeking an unspecified amount of remunerations for its loss.

In Stevens Point alone, the legal team of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® strongly believes that many families are left with great financial and emotional burdens after losing a loved one in a car accident. However, remunerations may be awarded to you if your loss was the result of a faulty vehicle. Discuss your situation with us today at (715) 345-0004 to find out how we may be able to help you.
