Toyota recalls over 200K vehicles equipped with Takata airbags

On October 20, Toyota and other major car manufacturers stated that they are recalling 247,000 of their vehicles due to defective Takata airbags that may explode, CNBC 25 reported.

Toyota announced that various 2002-2005 vehicles may have airbags installed in the front passenger seat that could explode and discharge metal shrapnel. Toyota, Honda, Chrysler and others initiated the airbag recall in the vehicles after U.S. safety regulators began investigating incidents of bursting airbags in Puerto Rico and Florida. Regional recalls have been issued because experts believe that high humidity played a factor in bursting airbags. Toyota and other vehicle makers are currently recalling over 4.5 million vehicles that are equipped with Takata airbags.

People are at high risk of suffering debilitating injuries in accidents if the safety features of their vehicles suddenly malfunction. If you have experienced this, getting a help from an experienced personal injury lawyer is crucial for you to possibly get the remunerations you need for your fast recovery.
