Honda minivans and SUVs with possible airbag malfunction recalled

Hundred of thousands of vehicles were recalled by multinational automaker Honda Motors Co. due to a potential defect that may lead to airbag malfunction, according to a report on Monday, September 23.

At least 318,000 Honda Odyssey minivans and 56,000 Honda Acura MDX SUVs were affected by an electrical interference that may launch the airbag at inappropriate times.

In a statement, the automaker said numerous complaints of sudden airbag launch reached their office in the past months, but there were no reported accidents that were linked to the recalled vehicles. Honda will start fixing the problem before November by installing an electrical noise filter in the recalled minivans and SUVs.

Sadly, many Americans sustain serious injuries in car accidents that were caused by auto defects. If you or a loved one have been harmed due to a manufacturer’s negligence, please call (715) 345-0004 to speak with our Stevens Point attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® today.
