NBA’s Lamar Odom charged with misdemeanor DUI

Former Los Angeles Clippers player Lamar Odom was arrested after he was suspected of driving under the influence on August 30.

Reports from the California Highway Patrol state that Odom, 33, was driving erratically on the 101 Freeway early in the morning of the 30th. The basketball player demonstrated signs of intoxication and failed a sobriety test given to him authorities gave him after he was pulled over.

Odom’s driver’s license will be suspended for one year after refusing to perform a chemical test. The NBA player also spent almost 4 hours in Van Nuys and was released after he was booked at around 5 a.m.

Just days before the incident, Odom was involved in a car crash with a vehicle owned by an LA Times reporter.
