2011-2012 Chevrolet Cruzes recalled due to brake problem

A recall was issued by automaker General Motors to address a brake defect in 293,000 compact sedans, an August 16 article from The Los Angeles Times reported.

The recall states that a brake issue affects 2011-2012 Chevrolet Cruze models, potentially causing drivers to need to step harder on the brake pedal in order to stop the car. The issue is experienced by cars with configured engine-transmissions. Despite some reports of alleged low-speed crashes linked to the problem, no injuries have yet been reported.

Car dealers will resolve the issue for free by changing a micro-switch in the power brake vacuum pipe assembly
