Man arrested for OWI while riding lawnmower

A man was spotted on a police camera driving on the roadway on his lawnmower and when police pulled him over, he was charged with drunk driving.

According to state patrol, the 69-year-old man told the cruiser to go around him when they attempted to stop him. The police officer then followed him to a parking lot where he administered a sobriety test. reported that the man’s blood alcohol level was found to be twice the legal limit. The man told police he was unaware that he could not drive the lawnmower on the road. He was then arrested for his fourth drunk driving charge. The man’s license was suspended at the time due to his prior arrests.
