Bond set for woman after alleged DWI, high speed chase

The bond has now been set for a woman that lead Wisconsin police on a high speed chase while allegedly drunk driving.

Last week, the judge set a $500 signature bond for a felony charge of fleeing from police and a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The sheriff’s department reported that the woman was traveling on Highway66 when she stopped on the side of the road.

Police pulled to the side in order to offer assistance, but the woman pulled off immediately. The chase went on for 12 miles and caused speeds reached nearly 110 mph.

During the crash, the car traveled over the center line multiple times before crashing into a ditch and a tree. The woman was not injured in the chase, but her blood alcohol level was measured to be over the legal limit.
