Several sent to hospital after two-car crash

Several people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Highway 39.

According to officials, the accident occurred as the 25-year-old was driving a van carrying six people and failed to stop at a stop sign. A car that was approaching then struck the van on the driver’s side.

Six people were in the van and one person was in the car when the accident occurred. They were transported to two different area hospitals in order to be treated. It is thought that the driver of the van was unable to see the car approaching due to the intersection’s nature.
