6 injured in rollover accident on I-94

Earlier this month, 6 people were injured in a two-vehicle rollover accident on Interstate 94 in Eau Claire.  According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of the highway.

An 18-year old Star Prairie man was traveling on the highway in a Toyota 4Runner and was reported to have not been able to brake as the semi-truck traveling in front of his vehicle slowed down.  In order to avoid the truck, the Toyota’s driver veered to the side of the road into a construction zone.  Then, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled several times.

Several people were ejected from the 4Runner in the accident.  Four people were taken to Regional Hospital and two others were taken to a hospital in Hudson.
