Speeding accident leaves 3 injured

Sunday afternoon, a 7-vehicle accident left 3 people injured.  Investigators determined that drivers speeding at rates too fast for road and weather conditions were to blame for the accident.

The speeding accident occurred in the westbound lanes Interstate 94 near Johnson Creek.  A Wisconsin state trooper was helping people involved in an initial accident when another vehicle struck her vehicle and a tow truck.  The vehicle that struck the trooper’s car caused a chain-reaction of several small collisions involving 7 vehicles.

The state trooper and tow truck driver were both taken to nearby hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.
