Man killed in pedestrian accident by girlfriend

Last Friday evening, an Arizona man was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident after leaving a Green Bay bar with his girlfriend.  The couple had reportedly been in a fight earlier in the evening causing 41-year old Kenneth C. Brown to leave the bar and walk home.  His girlfriend, 42-year old Marlene A. Wanek of Green Bay, followed in her car soon after to pick him up.

The accident occurred around 11 P.M. on the 1400 block of East Mason Street in Green Bay when Brown began to cross the street.  Breahtalyzer  tests performed at the scene of the accident showed Wanek to have a blood alcohol content of .2 percent.  Sources believe it was an unfortunate accident that Brown crossed the street as Wanek’s vehicle approached.  Upon arrival, paramedics performed CPR on Brown, but it was too late.  Officials pronounced Brown dead at the scene of the accident.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Brown’s family and friends during this difficult time.
