Woman injured in accident with police car

A Wisconsin woman was injured last Thursday when a  St. Croix County deputy officer lost control of his squad car and struck her vehicle.  The accident occurred around 5:45 P.M. on Highway 65.  Investigators from the Wisconsin State Patrol are determining the details of exactly what happened.

The woman, 58-year old Carolyn Quenzer of Star Prarie, was airlifted from the scene of the accident to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where she was listed in critical condition.  The police officer, 36-year old James Haefner, was also injured in the accident and treated at the Westfield Hospital in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
