Pregnant Woman Involved in Stevens Point Car Accident

A pregnant woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle Stevens Point car accident Tuesday.

According to officials with the Stevens Point Police Department, two vehicles collided when a car stopped short to avoid a bicyclist at a Stevens Point intersection. The driver said he could not see the biker because he moved in front of a bus.

Police say a pregnant woman was injured in the crash. She was transported by ambulance to St. Michaels Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, officers say. Her baby did not appear to be in danger.

Three other people were involved in the crash. They were treated at the scene and did not require additional care, according to hospital officials.

Police are still investigating the accident. They are searching for the bicyclist, who rode away from the scene of the crash.
