A two-vehicle crash north of Brussels let seven people injured Thursday afternoon.

According to officials with the Door County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the town of Nasewaupee. A Nissan Sentra driven by 33 year-old Fernando Avila-Galvan, was traveling south on Wisconsin 57 when a Buick LeSabre, driven by 88 year-old Donald R. Laubenstein, pulled into its path, police say. Avila-Galvan was unable to avoid a collision and struck the drivers side of Laubenstein’s vehicle.

Laubenstein and his 88 year-old wife Margaret, suffered incapacitating injures in the crash and were transported to a Green Bay hospital.

Four passengers in Avila-Galvan’s vehicle were taken by ambulance to Door County Memorial Hospital with varying injuries. The passengers were identified as 31 year-old Jerome A. Saucedo, 27 year-old Ramon Oros, 22 year-old Carlos M. Delcampo, and 30 year-old Hector Rodriguez.
