Death raises questions at lakefront

Police are investigating a lake crash that occurred earlier this month to determine the cause behind it.

After being pulled from her pickup truck and out of the lake by her 23-year-old son, a 63-year-old woman was found dead when emergency workers arrived at the Harrison Lake shore of Moraine Lake. The 911 emergency call was put in by the woman’s son some time just before 5:00 a.m. on June 6. The man was transported to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in nearby Tomahawk for injury and wound treatment.

Investigators have worked with other Lincoln County workers in order to better understand the circumstances of this case. However, the cooperation between the Department of Criminal Investigation and the local police have led some to wonder what autopsy reports could contain. Authorities have not released the details of the autopsy to protect their current investigation. Toxicology reports, however, could be released Friday, although authorities noted that next week was a more likely release time.
