Slick Roads Cause 3-Car Crash

Several accidents occurred on U.S. 41 Monday evening due to slick road conditions. The worst involved three vehicles, and one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the driver began fishtailing and hit a sport utility vehicle, coming to a stop on the shoulder. A driver in another vehicle was unable to stop in time, and hit the two vehicles.

Police closed the northbound lanes of the highway for about an hour, rerouting traffic. Stevens Point recorded 0.3 inches of snow. The county reported three dozen crashes during Monday afternoon alone.
