Wisconsin legislator facing penalties after OWI guilty plea

In a statement issued Wednesday, November 18, Representative Josh Zepnick (Milwaukee-D) confirmed that he was guilty of a first offense drunk driving charge in Greenfield Municipal Court. The lawmaker was reportedly stopped by a Greenfield officer on October 29, at which time he admitted to the officer that he had had between five and six beers that evening.

Representative Zepnick penalties included the suspension of his driver’s license for six months and the ordered payment of an undisclosed amount. Zepnick’s vehicle was also required to have an ignition interlock device installed for a year as part of his plea.
