Seatbelts Important to Reduce Fatal Accidents

Posted on November 4th, 2009 No Comments

The use of seatbelts by every individual driving or riding passenger in a vehicle is extremely important in reducing the likelihood of an accident becoming fatal. Even an accident at relatively slow speeds can turn fatal under certain circumstances.

Head injuries are more likely to occur when an individual is not wearing a seatbelt.  Typically,  the individual will hit their head on the car window, or on the dash.  In some cases,  if the speeds are high,  an individual will be ejected through the front window of the vehicle into the street.  The injury sustained in this type of accident is typically fatal.
